A delegation of the Nigerian government will be meeting with officials of the German deportation regime on Friday 20. March 2026 in Munich . The meeting will be focused on increasing deportations to ignore realities on ground. With the Nigerian authorities like the National Commission for Refugees has always claimed to have existing structures of supporting deported migrants upon arrival. However, testimonies from many deported persons confirms that as far from the truth. The support system described by the officials simply do not exist in practice. Deportees are often left stranded without meaningful assistance like accommodation, employment, healthcare, or social reintegration.
