We call on Nigerians to join this (whatsapp – click on the link) platform for discussion on the current lobby to engage the Nigerian government in a deportation collaboration with Germany.

A visiting delegation from Nigeria will be meeting with key actors of the German deportation regime to discuss strategies that will facilitate Germany`s deportation agenda. Such collaboration are usually focused on increasing deportations through deceptive propaganda that covers up the actual realities on ground. On the Nigeria side, the “National Commission for Refugees” has always claim to have existing structures for supporting deported migrants upon arrival. But testimonies of deported persons and from CSO`s observation on ground, the support system as described simply does not exist in practice. Deported people are usually after immigration profiling conveyed with the airport shuttle Buses and dumped outside the Airport premises, abandoned and left stranded without any form of government support, not even a Telephone help to reach out at least.

Please take time to hear this interview“what really happens after people are deported”. We encourage deported persons, those who are still threatened with deportation, persons who were involuntarily coerced to accept so-called voluntary returns offers and other interested persons to comment and share their personal experience on the issue.
