As follow up to the routine monthly deportation enforcement from Germany to Nigeria, another batch of 34 deported persons were on Wednesday received at cargo airport Terminal in Lagos. The deportation was enforced onboard an Omni Air deportation machine that arrived shortly after midday under heavy rain in Lagos.
For the month of September, 22 persons were deported in the same manner with massive security presence onboard. The deported persons were received by Officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service and other security agencies in the absence of the agencies responsible for migrants or otherwise human rights.
The DERS team were on ground for the eight time this year to observe the deportation arrival and provide basic support for the arriving deported persons who are usually traumatized by the brutal and violent experiences in the course of the deportation enforcement.
