The German-wide \/ Frontex deportation operation was enforced onboard a World2Fly charter Aircraft that departed Frankfurt in the early hours had arrived shortly before 1PM at the cargo airport in Lagos. The deported persons consisted of 21 males, 2 Female mothers and a 10 years old minor.

The DERS Team were as usual on ground to support the returnees with psychological shock and distress associated with the deportation process. Our routine experiences with such arrival of Nigerian returnees reflects a significant gaps in the Governments preparedness, communication and support for fellow Nigerians who are usually deported in abusive manners.

Those who spoke with members of our Team in the DERS accommodation expressed shock and emotional distress associated with the uncertainty of how to move on. Many of them had leaved, built up family and worked for many years in Germany. One of the deported persons was residing in Spain but was arrested during his visit to Germany on 15. March in Kehl. He was detained for about three weeks and speedily processed for this deportation to Nigeria.

While one of the mothers lamented about the terrifying circumstances with her deportation and separation from her 3 Kids held by the child welfare department in Paderborn, the second mother who was deported from Tuttlingen region was trapped in deportation despair with herself and her 10 years old daughter with Asthmatic condition.

What has become very obvious is the ongoing deportation of many who are after the first 18 months denied extension of the Paragraph 104c. These strategic denials are usually attributed to the claims of the applicants not meeting the required German integration i.e certified language course, gainful employment and national identity documents etc. The Paragraph 104c regularization scheme was from the onset very clear as another reproduced deceptions to engage so-called Tolerated (Duldung Holders) migrants to actively cooperate in the obtaining their national identity documents as criteria for extension. These passport documents were needed to facilitate the massive deportation agenda of Germany.

While the deportation enforcement was being carried out, a Nigerian delegation is also expected to be engaging in the widely criticized as highly corrupt mobile identification hearings in Karlsruhe. Nigerian with the Duldung status in Germany are by this information advised to take precautions as the case may be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DERS Team, Lagos

<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Another batch of 24 suspected Nigerians were yesterday deported from Germany to Lagos.
